eco-Bubble®-5N,Nozzles for releasing micro-bubbles
Five nozzles for releasing micro-bubbles are built in a
housing. This nozzle unit is set on the bottom of the pond.
Water and compressed air are carried from the pump and
mini-compressors to the nozzles, and max. 20 L per min.
of micro-bubbles are released from these nozzles in the sea water.
Remarks: the capacity for releasing micro-bubbles highly
increases in the water with higher viscosity.)
An unit to carry water and air to the nozzles
Product configuration of eco-Bubble®-5N aeration system:
A nozzle housing with 5 DDHRS nozzles, a water pump
(1500W), mini-compressor (450 x 2), and air divider (2).
The water pump draw the water from the pond, and carry
it to the nozzles. The mini-compressors send compressed
ambient air to the nozzles. The high-speed rotating vortex
of the water break the air in the nozzles, and releases
micro-bubbles to the water.
Trial experiment
Two sets of eco-Bubble®-5N aeration system (total power consumption is 3900W x 2) were set at a vannamei shrimp
culture pond (80 m x 80 m x 1.5 m (depth)) in Chantaburi Province, Thailand. Collaborated research with Dr. Suriyan
Tunkijjanukij, Faculty of Fishery, Kasetsart University, Thailand, and Dr. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Faculty of Environmental and
Symbiotic Sciences, Prefectural University of Kumamoto, Japan)
Results of the experiment (DO increase)
Aeration of the water by eco-Bubble® system enables to keep the pond water in healthy conditions throughout the
culturing period.
Black line: In Control pond of which the water was aerated only by the puddle wheels, the lowest DO of the water in the
night tended to decrease day to day in the later half of the culturing period over three months as the feed consumption
for rearing shrimp increased following its growth, and fell to the levels below 3 mg/L.
Blue line: In Experimental pond of which the water was aerated by both of the puddle wheels and 2 sets of eco-Bubble®
-5N aeration system, the lowest DO of the water in the night was kept around 5 mg/L until the shrimp was harvested.
Results of the experiment (Growth of shrimp)
The shrimp was cultured with 440 thousands of young juveniles. In Experimental pond with 2 sets of eco-Bubble®-5N
aeration system, the shrimp grew to 20.0 g wet weight (mean weight of 30 individuals) after 82 days, while the shrimp in
Control pond without the eco-Bubble aeration system grew to 15.1 g wet weight after 82 days, and was harvested after
105 days when the weight reached 18.7 g were weight. The FCR (Food conversion rate) was 1.15 in Experimental pond
and 1.67 in Control pond, respectively
eco-Bubble®-5N aeration system enables to keep DO of the water of the shrimp farming pond in healthy level throughout the period of culturing over three months, and brings big effects to promote its growth, and improve its production efficiency.
